Jets Finalizing Trade For Rams RT Jason Smith, According To Report
The Jets are reportedly close to finalizing a trade with the Rams that would send former No. 2 overall pick Jason Smith to New York.

Update: NFL.com received confirmation from the Jets and Rams that the trade is complete.
Both the Rams and the Jets have shuffled the depth chart at the right tackle spot, with New York starting Austin Howard in place of Hunter during Sunday night's primetime game against the Panthers. Howard handled himself well during his first game action with the starters. Smith, much like Hunter, was demoted from the starting right tackle spot this month, as Barry Richardson took control of the job in St. Louis.
