Indianapolis Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck has already drawn comparisons to some of the best to ever suit up in the NFL.
Andrew Luck Still Makes ‘Boneheaded Mistakes’
The Colts and Andrew Luck hope to live up to the hype early on, despite some inevitable rookie mistakes.

That said, don’t think for a minute he’s content with where his game is currently at. In a radio interview on Tuesday with Dan Dakich on 1070 The Fan in Indy, Luck talked about what he needs to do in order to truly be the best.
“I think I’m still very much a rookie quarterback trying to figure it out,” Luck said. “As an offense, we’re on the right path, I definitely think so. By no means are we perfect in any sense and got a lot of work to do. I do feel like a rookie a lot of times trying to figure things out but I think we’re on the right path and that is what is important.”
As a first-year player being thrown into the fire, Luck knows he’s made some rookie mistakes he’d love to have back.
“I think every now and then you make boneheaded mistakes. Call a play in the huddle and two seconds later you can’t remember one word that came out of your mouth and try to figure out what’s going on with the defense and you’re forgetting the snap count and just trying to stay alive out there.”
The Stanford product is hoping that by Week 1 he’ll be ready to make an impact for Jim Irsay’s franchise.
“I hope by Week 1 I will be. I’m definitely looking forward to this last preseason game and hopefully getting some more experience and taking it practice-by-practice, but I hope by Week 1 I will be ready.”
