Garrett Reid, the 29-year-old eldest son of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid, was found dead in his room at training camp early Sunday morning, according to Eagles general manager Howie Roseman.

Garrett Reid, the eldest son of Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid was found dead on Sunday morning at training camp.
Roseman and the Lehigh chief of police addressed the matter on Sunday morning after the team had been informed of Reid’s death. Police were called after Garrett Reid was found unresponsive in his room. Authorities said that no suspicious activity or signs of foul play were detected. The police and the coroner are investigating further.
Reid asked that training camp continue Sunday morning, despite the situation. In comments to the media, Roseman stood by the team’s long-time head coach:
“He’s been strong for us, we’re going to be strong for him right now.”
The last time Reid missed practice was in 2007 when his son Britt was arrested for drug possession.
