Vikings rookie wide receiver Greg Childs will miss the 2012 season after tearing both patellar tendons on Saturday.
Vikings Waive Greg Childs After Injury
The Vikings waived Greg Childs as injured on Monday, and he will revert to injured reserve if he clears NFL waivers. Teams have 24 hours to put in a waiver claim if they’re so inclined, but typically teams don’t go down that road and follow an unwritten rule of not claiming waived/injured players.
Childs is expected to have surgery later in the week.
