Losing your starting quarterback can be more devastating than losing a game in Week 1, and the Tennessee Titans had to deal with both on Sunday. Jake Locker was knocked out of the team's 34-13 loss to the New England Patriots.
Jake Locker Injury: Titans Expect Quarterback Back In Week 2
While the injury is being described as a shoulder separation, fortunately for Tennessee, the injury came to Locker’s non-throwing arm. Head coach Mike Munchak expects him to return in Week 2, according to The Tennessean.
“We assume he’ll be OK,” Munchak said. “We’d rather him not go in there and tackle anybody, but he is so competitive I guess. He wanted to go back in … but we just wanted to make sure he got checked out before we did something like that. The way the game was at that point we thought we’d hold him out.”
“Assuming that he’ll get checked out, he should be OK for next week.”
The Titans will play at the San Diego Chargers next week.
