Despite an impressive win in Week 1 for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and a loss for the New York Giants, the defending Super Bowl champions are still large favorites over the visiting Bucs for Sunday's game.
Week 2 NFL Odds: Buccaneers Vs. Giants
In each of the last five times the Giants and Buccaneers have played, the under has won the point total spread, including each of the last five times the Bucs have traveled to New York to play the Giants.
Opening as 9 point favorites to win, the Giants will need to do better defensively against Tampa Bay than they did against the Cowboys on the Wednesday opener if they hope to get their first win of the season. Against the Cowboys, the Giants allowed more than 400 yards of offense, including nearly 300 yards passing.
The Buccaneers didn't have nearly that amount of offense in their win over the Panthers, instead relying on the play of their defense that allowed just 10 rushing yards. However, 16 points was enough to beat the Panthers, but may not be enough to beat the Giants.
The Giants have won each of the last three meetings between the two teams, including a 24-0 victory in Tampa Bay in 2009.
