Week 2 NFL Odds: Bears Vs. Packers
While the over has been the winning bet in each of the last five Packers games in Lambeau, the total points have been in favor of the under in eight of the nine matchups between the Bears and Packers.
After opening as 4-point favorites, the point spreads have swelled in the Packers’ favor and are now at 6 points on most sites, even 7 on others. Although, considering the gap in the quality of each team’s first opponent, it’s not especially surprising that the Bears are considered underdogs for Thursday’s game.
With more than 300 yards allowed to Colts rookie quarterback Andrew Luck, the Bears will have the tough task of slowing down the reigning AP NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers, who threw for more than 300 yards against the very stout 49ers defense. However, the Bears should be able to control the line of scrimmage as Matt Forte clearly out-classes any running back on the Packers' roster.
