NFL Picks Week 2: Saints Vs. Panthers

The New Orleans Saints had all they could handle with Robert Griffin III last Sunday, and now must deal with another difficult quarterback in Cam Newton and the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco foresees a stiff test for the Saints on the road, giving Carolina the edge in a shootout that he sees finishing in a 37-31 final. Prisco believes that being at home will give Newton just enough of a boost for the Panthers to avoid starting the season 0-2.

The experts at ESPN are a bit torn between these two teams as five of their NFL analysts have picked the Saints, while another four have taken the Panthers.

Walter Football predicts a Panthers win by the score of 30-24, though their experts claim that 91 percent of Vegas bets thus far have been placed on New Orleans.
