Texans Vs. Jaguars, Week 2: Battle Red Blog Catalogues Record Day

The Houston Texans moved to 2-0 on the young NFL season and more importantly, they got an important divisional road win as they try to defend their AFC South crown. Things are already looking very good in that regard, as Tennessee and Jacksonville are two games back at 0-2 and Indianapolis is 1-1.

SB Nation’s Battle Red Blog points out that it was a record setting day for the Texans:

Running back Arian Foster gained 110 rushing yards to surpass Dominic Williams, formerly Davis, as the franchise's all-time leading rusher. Williams' previous record of 3,195 rushing yards was surpassed by Foster in the second quarter. This was also Foster's 19th 100-plus rushing yard day, further padding his own franchise record.

Houston now has to travel to Denver and face Peyton Manning, who regularly tormented the franchise during his lengthy career in Indianapolis.

For more coverage of the Jaguars, stay tuned to Big Cat Country and SB Nation Tampa Bay. Also be sure to check out Battle Red Blog for updates on the Texans. For more news, notes and analysis from around the league, visit SB Nation’s NFL hub.
