Texans Vs. Jaguars Game Recap: Texans Pummel Jags, Win 24-7

Ben Tate and Arian Foster had big days, as the Texans beat the Jaguars 24-7 on Sunday. Tate found the end zone twice for Houston while Foster played the role of workhorse, rushing for 110 yards and a TD off 28 carries.

Houston jumped out to a 17-0 lead after TDs from Tate and Foster, and never looked back. The only blemish on the day for the Texans was allowing a 5-yard touchdown pass to Maurice Jones-Drew.

Fantasy Studs/Duds: Any Foster owners should be pleased after a big day from the Houston rusher. Owners of MJD were bailed out thanks to his TD pass, however he had a relatively quiet day, garnering 67 total yards.

Did They Cover?: The Texans were easily able to cover their line, which was -9 at Jacksonville.

Injury Report: Jags Quarterback Blaine Gabbert’s day was cut short after he left the game with a leg injury. He finished the day 7-of-19 for 53 yards, a touchdown and a 62.8 rating. Backup Chad Hennethrew two completions on two passes for 23 yards in relief of Gabbert.

Next Week: The Jags will matchup against the Colts next week. Indy is coming off their first win of theAndrew Luck era. As for Houston, they will take on Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos next Sunday.
