Clark Haggans Suspended 3 Games For Violating NFL’s Substance Abuse Policy
San Francisco 49ers linebacker Clark Haggans has been suspended three games by the NFL for violating the league substance abuse policy.

Haggans was signed before the season to apparently provide outside linebacking depth when top backup linebacker Parys Haralson was sidelined for the rest of the year with a torn tricep. Haggans has yet to register a tackle in his first two games.
The 35 year old Haggans ran a red light and was charged with a DUI, pleading guilty to a blood-alcohol level that was higher than .150. Haggans had to spend time in jail in June. Haggans explained that he had tried to rush home from a concert when he heard his daughter was having trouble breathing, but was pulled over by cops for committing multiple traffic violations.
