VIDEO: The NFL’s Fantastic Steve Sabol Tribute

The NFL world lost one of its most towering figures this week when NFL Films president Steve Sabol passed away. Sabol and his father shaped the look and feel of the modern game, and the tributes have poured out in the days since. Every fan, every media member, coach, player, front office staffer and many others have been touched by Sabol’s work, even if they never knew who he was.

The NFL produced an incredible tribute video for Sabol, revealing it ahead of the Thursday night game between the New York Giants and Carolina Panthers. Words can't really do it justice. Just watch the video.

Sabol passed away after an 18-month battle with brain cancer.

Teams will honor Sabol prior to their Week 3 games. Tributes will include this video, which will be shown before games.
