Adrian Clayborn Injury: Buccaneers DE Injures Leg Vs. Cowboys

Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Adrian Clayborn had to be helped off the field after suffering an apparently serious leg injury against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. It appears that the injury occurred during a Tony Romo sack by Tampa's Gerald McCoy.

Clayborn, a 2011 first round pick, will be sorely missed by the Buccaneers during his absence. The team has already announced that he’ll sit out the remainder of Sunday’s game against Dallas, although the long-term prognosis is unclear. Only in his second NFL season, Clayborn has never missed a game.

Last year, Clayborn recorded 42 tackles, seven sacks and three forced fumbles as a rookie, but he has been fairly quiet early this season. In the first two games of the season, the Iowa product recorded just one tackle with zero sacks.
