Major Wright Intercepts Tipped Ball, Sees Nothing But Daylight

The Chicago Bears defense had a great day against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, but the unit wasn't able to force a turnover until the fourth quarter. That turnover turned out to be a doozy, though, as safety Major Wright intercepted Rams quarterback Sam Bradford's pass and had little trouble taking it the other way.

That pass was clearly intended for Rams wide receiver Danny Amendola, but he had little chance of actually catching the ball after being laid out by Lance Briggs. Wright just happened to be in the right place at the right time, snagging an easy interception after the ball popped off Amendola's hands.

It was just that kind of day for St. Louis, which was unable to score a touchdown against Chicago. Other than a pair of long field goals from Greg Zuerlein, the Rams' offense was bottled up all day, scoring fewer points than Chicago's defense after the Wright touchdown.

Overall, Bradford completed 18-of-35 passes for 152 yards and two interceptions, plus he was sacked six times. Chicago won 23-6 to improve to 2-1 on the year.
