Michael Floyd’s First Career Catch Is A Touchdown

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Michael Floyd's first two NFL games were quiet, but the first round pick made his first career catch on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles. It's a good one, too, as Floyd snagged a bouncing ball and waltzed into the end zone for a touchdown, giving him his first career score, as well.

The pass was clearly intended for Floyd, but a pair of Eagles defenders were there to cover the pass. Fortunately for Floyd, they ended up running into one another, leaving him free to catch the ball in wide open space.

Floyd, selected 13th overall out of Notre Dame, played in the first two games but failed to make a catch. The Cardinals' passing offense is a work-in-progress as the team tries to sort out its quarterback situation, but Kevin Kolb appears to be settling in as the starter after beating out John Skelton.

After putting up huge numbers for the Fighting Irish, the Cardinals are hoping that Floyd can emerge as a quality receiver alongside All-Pro wideout Larry Fitzgerald.

Head over to Revenge of the Birds for everything on the Cardinals. If you want Eagles coverage, Bleeding Green Nation has it all.
