Plaxico Burress may not be playing right now, but he wants another shot in the NFL.
Plaxico Burress surprised he’s not back in NFL
The ex-New York Giants wide receiver says it’s a mystery to him why he isn’t playing in the NFL.

The Super Bowl champion isn't sure why he hasn't gotten another opportunity, since he was a very viable red zone target in 2011 with the New York Jets. When asked if he's surprised he isn't on a team, Burress was very honest, according to sportsradiointerviews.com.
“I walk out of my house and I can’t even make it to my mailbox. That’s the first question I get asked before I make it to my mail. … We talk with teams daily about guys who are injured or not producing and things like that. I guess I’ve just got to wait my time. . . . I’m just going to sit and wait for my opportunity to come.”
While the wide receiver would certainly like a nice landing spot if he’s afforded another chance to play football, Burress says he wouldn’t be picky.
“You get to a point now where it’s almost the first month of the season is almost gone. When the opportunity comes, wherever I can go and have an impact and contribute. … Whoever that may be, they’re going to get a supreme talent and a guy that can go out and perform.”
With injuries mounting this time of year, you never know what team that might be.
