Minnesota Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has been added to the injury report with a neck issue, according to Tom Pelissero of 1500ESPN.com (via ProFootballTalk). However, he is expected to play on Sunday, says Judd Zulgad.
Christian Ponder injury: Vikings QB limited with neck issue
Vikings QB Christian Ponder landed on the injury report on Thursday, but he’s expected to play on Sunday against the Lions.

Ponder was a limited participant in practice on Thursday, but there was no mention of an injury by head coach Leslie Frazier afterward. Zulgad confirmed with an NFL source that the neck issue was just tension, and that his status for the Vikings' game against the Detroit Lions is not in jeopardy at this point.
The Vikings’ upstart signal-caller has played very well through the first three games of the season, throwing for 713 yards and four touchdowns, while posting a quarterback rating of 104.9. This comes after a tough rookie season in which Ponder threw 13 interceptions and put up a QB rating of just 70.1.
Tight end Kyle Rudolph is the only other offensive player on the Vikings' injury report.
