Chargers take advantage of turnovers to top Chiefs

The Chargers won despite being outgained by 60 yards and having Phillip Rivers throw for just 209 yards. As John Gennaro of Bolts From The Blue pointed out, turnovers were a big reason why San Diego was able to come away with the 17-point victory.

It may not have been pretty, but San Diego was able to go on the road and come out with a win and now the Chargers are alone atop the AFC West.

The Chiefs are down big, but this moment from Charles was a bright spot as Kansas City try to dig themselves out of a 21-point hole.

Fantasy Impact: McCluster will be out there if you need him today, though it should be noted that he is on the edge of fantasy relevance in standard leagues. His RB/WR designation in some formats make him a nice versatile option to have, but he doesn’t touch the ball enough on a weekly basis to truly reward fantasy owners. His value is a bit better in PPR leagues.

Kansas City is a tough place to play, but the Chargers are likely the better team, even if they didn’t show it last week. This one is not an easy pick, although ESPN’s pundits would have you believe differently, as eight out of the 11 who have made their picks are taking the Chargers.

Meanwhile, the guys at CBS Sports were certainly more balanced, as four experts chose San Diego and four picked Kansas City.

The over/under opened at 46 and has since gone down a point, to 45.
