Fred Jackson, C.J. Spiller to split carries evenly Sunday against Patriots

Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller are expected to split carries evenly during Sunday’s game between the Bills and the Patriots, according to Adam Schefter. We break down the fantasy implications.

Fred Jackson and C.J. Spiller will split carries evenly when the Buffalo Bills take on the New England Patriots on Sunday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Both running backs are coming off injuries. Jackson is playing for the first time since suffering a knee injury in the season opener. Spiller hurt his shoulder last week against the Cleveland Browns.

Fantasy Impact: Of the two, Jackson appears to be closer to 100 percent, and Spiller may not even be involved in Sunday’s gameplan depending on who you ask. Spiller’s outstanding production while Jackson was on the sideline won’t be ignored by the coaching staff if they can help it, however. While both backs will hinder his teammate’s fantasy value, both are still viable Flex options in standard leagues. Unfortunately, you may not be able to count on consistent RB1 production from either player going forward.
