Marshawn Lynch Injury: Seahawks RB Uncertain For Week 1

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is uncertain to play in the season opener against Arizona due to back spasms, according to reports.

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will be a question mark to play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1 after experiencing back spasms. ESPN's Adam Schefter tweeted Tuesday that the team is uncertain whether Lynch will be able to play in Sunday's season opener.

If the 5'11, 215 pound Lynch is not ready to go, it's a huge blow to the Seahawks. Seattle will need as many sure things as possible next to rookie starting quarterback Russell Wilson on Sunday.

While Lynch could still play, it's expected that 30-year-old Leon Washington and rookie Robert Turbin will take the starter's snaps if coach Pete Carroll decides to sit him. Washington had 53 attempts for 248 yards last season with the Seahawks. Turbin was drafted out of Utah State in the fourth round by the team in this year's draft.
