The Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will open their season in Tampa on Sunday.

Despite being the road team, the Panthers are currently 3-point favorites, accoring to OddsShark.com. Carolina is 6-4 in its last 10 games against the Bucs and are also 6-4 against the spread during those games. The Panthers were also a strong bet against the spread last season, going 9-7 while Tampa Bay was just 4-12 against the spread in 2011.

Carolina won both meetings between the teams last season and did so in blowout fashion. The Panthers beat the Bucs 48-16 at home and came out with a 38-19 win in Tampa. Oddsmakers are expecting a lot of offense Sunday, with the over/under currently set at 46.5 points, one of the higher totals of Week 1 games.
