Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon suffered an ankle injury in practice Wednesday, and his status for Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings has yet to be determined, according to a report in the Florida Times-Union.

The Jaguars listed Blackmon as limited during Wednesday's practice and are hopeful the injury isn't serious. The rookie wide receiver out of Oklahoma State, who Jacksonville selected with the fifth-overall pick of the 2012 NFL Draft, had a solid preseason, catching 10 balls for 136 yards and one touchdown. He became one of quarterback Blaine Gabbert's top targets during the preseason and figured to be a major part of the Jaguars' offense this year.

The Jaguars plan to examine Blackmon’s ankle this morning to determine whether or not he’ll be able to practice later in the afternoon Thursday.

Jacksonville's other options at wide receiver include Kevin Elliott, Taylor Price, Laurent Robinson, Brian Robiskie, Cecil Shorts and Mike Thomas.
