Generally, picks and predictions don't go well when choosing the NFL team with the rookie quarterback making his first career start. There are always exceptions to the rule, and the Seattle Seahawks visiting the Arizona Cardinals Sunday is just that.
NFL Picks And Predictions: Seahawks Vs. Cardinals
Experts are giving the Seattle Seahawks the advantage against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1.

Russell Wilson might be the youngster, but the Cardinals come into the season opener with an uglier-looking situation behind center. And in that, the Seahawks appear to be the heavy favorites in this NFC West battle.
Like most anyone, SB Nation NFL editor Joel Thorman has been turned off on Ken Whisenhunt's Arizona squad as the John Skelton and Kevin Kolb situation developed. But he's been turned into a Wilson fan watching him in the preseason. Thorman predicts a 24-13 Seahawks victory.
A month ago I would’ve said this was a battle for the No. 1 overall pick. And then Russell Wilson looked like a 10-year vet lighting it up in preseason.
Now it’s just the Cardinals battling for the No. 1 pick, which they will have a good shot at earning.
ESPN’s 12-man panel of NFL experts along with two prediction formulas nearly gave Seattle the prediction sweep. Only Ron Jaworski picked the Cardinals to pull off a victory.
Finally, Peter King of Sports Illustrated was a little more kind to Arizona. He still favors the Seahawks but expects a final score of 20-12.
