If you can count on history to repeat itself in the Seattle-Arizona game Sunday, the Seahawks will lose against the spread and the game will go OVER the total.
Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals Betting Odds Preview and Prediction

That has been the unmistakable trend for Seattle, a team that is 1-8 ATS in its past 9 September road games and a team that has played OVER in 11 of 12 September games overall.
The Seattle Seahawks and the Arizona Cardinals battle for early NFC West bragging rights when they meet this Sunday at the University of Phoenix Stadium. Seattle is a 3-point road favorite at most sportsbooks tracked by OddsShark.com.
But they are just 4-8 ATS as a road chalk in the past six seasons, so Vegas bettors are leery of them.
After a 7-9 straight up (10-5-1 ATS) season last year, the Seattle Seahawks felt they were a quarterback away from competing for a playoff spot in 2012. With Marshawn Lynch at running at running back and a solid defense already in place, the Seahawks landed big free agent quarterback Matt Flynn this offseason.
But over the course of the preseason, rookie quarterback Russell Wilson has actually beaten Flynn out for the starting job.
There was also a quarterback battle in Arizona this preseason, though there wasn't really a clear winner in this one. After going 8-8 SU (9-7 ATS) last season, the Cardinals were hoping that Kevin Kolb or John Skelton would step up this preseason to win the job.
Neither was spectacular, but Skelton did enough to beat out Kolb for the starting job. Skelton was the catalyst of Arizona’s strong second half last season; after starting the year off 1-6 SU (3-4 ATS), Arizona finished 2011 on a 7-2 SU (6-3 ATS) run.
People have differing opinions on how important the preseason is and whether or not momentum can carry over. Believers in preseason momentum should love Seattle this week.
The Seahawks went 4-0 SU and ATS this preseason while Arizona went 1-4 SU and 0-5 ATS. Considering both teams had active quarterback battles going, this may be a somewhat telling stat.
Under Head Coach Pete Carroll, Seattle has enjoyed success against Arizona with a 3-1 SU and ATS record. That said, Arizona is 5-1 SU and ATS in its last six games at home against Seattle dating back to 2006.
This one is a close call, and Marshawn Lynch's "questionable" status is a bit scary, but we lean towards Russell Wilson and follow the public and the Seattle Seahawks in this one.
