Marty Mornhinweg is one of the New York Jets’ offensive coordinator candidates, and may interview with the team as early as Friday, according to reports.

Mornhinweg was the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive coordinator for the last seven seasons under head coach Andy Reid. He finds himself in limbo after Reid was fired following the Eagles 4-12 season. While Mornhinweg's offense struggled this season, averaging just 17.5 points per game, the Eagles' offense has been among the league's most productive in recent years. They finished in the NFL's top 10 in total offense five times under Mornhinweg, and in the top five three times.
The Jets fired Tony Sparano after just one season as the team's offensive coordinator. Not only were the Jets unable to put points on the board, but Sparano drew added criticism for failing to incorporate Tim Tebow into the Jets' offense. Mornhinweg is closely associated with the West Coast offense, and could help mentor Mark Sanchez as a passer.
