Seahawks vs. Falcons, halftime score update: Atlanta dominating, 20-0

The Atlanta Falcons are marching, and the Seahawks have no answer.

The Atlanta Falcons have been too much for the Seattle Seahawks in the first half Sunday, running up and down the field en route to a 20-0 lead.

In six games this season, the Seahawks gave up 268 yards or less. Through 30 minutes of football in Atlanta, the Seahawks have already matched that mark -- and are on pace to give up a season-high 500+ yards. Their inability to stop the Falcons’ running backs, paired with effective chain-moving passing from the Falcons, has shocked Seattle, making their defense look like a paper tiger.

Matt Ryan failed to lead a scoring drive only once -- an interception. Meanwhile, Seattle are getting their yards, gaining 202 in the first half, but they were unable to even threaten reaching the end zone for most of the half. Marshawn Lynch has been stonewalled, rushing for just 3.4 yards per carry.

Rookie quarterback Russell Wilson has issues of his own. Completing just 58 percent of his passes, a snafu at the close of the first half left the Seahawks unable to even attempt a field goal -- a product of bad clock management. Two red zone drives by Seattle have resulted in no points, and it's hard to see how they'll turn their fortunes around in the second half.

In last week's playoff game, Seattle dug themselves out of a hole with the help of an injured Robert Griffin III. This is a larger lead, with far less time on the clock. If Pete Carroll has a trick up his sleeve, now is the time.
