The Atlanta Falcons finally managed to move past their previous playoff woes with a 30-28 over the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC divisional round on Sunday. While the team is certainly energized to move on to face the San Francisco 49ers, it did lose a major part of its defense midway through the game.
Seahawks vs. Falcons NFL injury report: John Abraham makes early exit
One of the Atlanta Falcons stars left the game early on Sunday. Here’s a look at his status at this point.

John Abraham was nursing an ankle injury during practice last week, and it did not get any better when he faced Seattle. He left the game earlier after he reportedly re-aggravated the same ankle. Abraham did not return the rest of the game, visibly frustrated as he was forced to sit on the sidelines.
The Falcons pass rush took a hit with Abraham out. There were multiple instances where Russell Wilson sat in the pocket for as long as he wanted, as the defensive line struggled to generate any kind of pass rush. It's unclear whether Abraham will be able to suit up this Sunday against the Niners. Atlanta will certainly need him.
Marshawn Lynch also left the game briefly to have his foot examined, but he managed to return and play the rest of the way.
