Monday marked the first day of practice at the second annual NFLPA Collegiate Bowl. The media attention surrounding the game isn’t on the same level as the East-West Shrine Game, especially during practices. But news about the rosters for this year’s game is still coming out as practices get underway.
NFLPA Collegiate Bowl 2013 practice report: Prospects from Ohio State, Fordham round out rosters
On the first day of practice, rosters for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl continue to take form.

Ohio State announced Monday that safety Orhian Johnson will play in the bowl on Saturday, Jan. 19 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif. Johnson started 22 games in his career for the Buckeyes, collecting six interceptions during that time.
Fordham will also be sending a pair of players to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this year, the team announced on Monday. Quarterback Ryan Higgins and offensive lineman Lloyd Morrison plan to attend the game. Higgins completed 255 passes this season, ranking second in school history behind Arizona Cardinals quarterback John Skelton.
As the week goes on and rosters are finalized, more news from actual practice should come out. ESPNU will air practice live on Thursday, Jan. 17. The NFLPA Collegiate Bowl will be aired live on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19.
