2013 NFL schedule: AFC West’s schedule provides Manning Bowl

Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos likely will be on primetime quite a bit next season. Denver's games against New England, New York and Indianapolis highlight the AFC West's 2013 schedule, as fans start looking toward next season.

As the defending AFC West champions, the Broncos have the toughest schedule on paper. Mike Shanahan and Robert Griffin III will visit Denver at some point in the season -- though whether or not RGIII is active and effective largely depends on his rehab.

Denver will also play host to the Ravens, in a rematch of the 2013 Divisional round matchup.

Denver's road schedule is much tougher than its home schedule. In addition to a trip to Dallas, the Broncos will head to Foxboro, as Brady and Manning will square off once again. Manning also heads back to Indianapolis for the first time since donning a Broncos uniform, and Manning will also face off against little brother Eli in New Jersey.

Denver's road opponents: Kansas City, Oakland, San Diego, Indianapolis, Houston, New England, Dallas, New York Giants

Phillip Rivers and the San Diego Chargers have a moderately difficult schedule in 2013. The Chargers draw the Giants, Cowboys, Colts and Bengals at home -- and each of those games figures to be difficult.

Luckily for San Diego, the Chargers have road dates against Jacksonville and Tennessee to ease the difficulty. Still, the Chargers have four road games on the East Coast -- which is never easy for a West Coast team, especially when the Chargers are tasked with taking on the Steelers, Eagles and Redskins on the road.

Carson Palmer and the Raiders will welcome a few of the NFL's most storied franchises to Oakland in 2013, as the Raiders are scheduled to play host to the Steelers, Eagles and Redskins -- saving the Raiders of trips to Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington D.C.

Oakland will however have to fly out to New Jersey twice to take on the Jets and Giants, as well as take on the Dallas Cowboys in Texas.

Oakland's road opponents: Denver, Kansas City, San Diego, Houston, Indianapolis, New York Jets, Dallas, New York Giants

Andy Reid will face familiar foes in his first season as Kansas City's head coach. The Chiefs will host the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. Chiefs fans will also get to watch Andrew Luck come to Arrowhead Stadium, as the Colts will visit Kansas City.

With games against the Browns, Titans, Jaguars and Bills, it's quite possible Reid could turn the Chiefs into a fringe contender as early as next season.
