Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam III is serious about changing the Browns. Not even a week after the Browns named Rob Chudzinski Cleveland's new head coach, Haslam III told the media that ownership is considering altering Cleveland's classic uniforms.

Cleveland’s classic uniforms could receive an update after the 2013 season -- but fans shouldn’t worry, as Cleveland’s classic helmets won’t be modified.

Though an on-field change can’t come until 2014 at the earliest, Haslam III told members of the media that Browns brass told the NFL that they would like to “look at” revising Cleveland’s uniforms going forward.
Fans are typically apprehensive when teams consider changing a classic uniform, and rightfully so -- some uniforms are classic for a reason. Haslam III assured fans and media that Cleveland’s helmets, at the least, will remain the same.
Cleveland’s uniforms have only undergone minor changes since the uniforms were unveiled in the 1940s, and it seems unlikely that any major changes will be made. Still, Cleveland’s brass could update the uniform’s trim.
Browns fans hoping for cheerleaders at home games will continue to be disappointed. Haslam III confirmed that the Browns will not have a cheerleading team at home games, citing that cheerleaders “don’t fit Cleveland.”
