Chiefs hire special teams coordinator Dave Toub
Andy Reid continued to fill out his coaching staff in Kansas City, including the hiring of Dave Toub as the special teams coordinator.

The move reunites Toub and Reid who first coached together at the University of Missouri in 1989. Toub also served as an assistant coach under Reid for three seasons in Philadelphia. The move is a big acquisition for Reid’s staff as Toub is regarded as one of the best special teams coaches in the NFL. Chicago finished in the top 10 in comprehensive special teams rankings in eight of Toub’s nine seasons in Chicago.
During his tenure with the Bears, eight special teams players made the Pro Bowl including two different kick returners. Toub was also named the special teams coach of the year in 2007. Reid said he was happy to add Toub to the coaching staff adding that he is one of the best special teams minds in the league.
"He will bring an innovative approach and consistency to this group," Reid said. "Dave will get the most out of our players."
