New Cleveland Browns vice president of player personnel Michael Lombardi wasn't much of a fan of quarterback Brandon Weeden last season. As an NFL Network analyst, he went on a Cleveland radio station in September and said that Colt McCoy gave the team the best chance to win, and that drafting Weeden was a "panicked disaster." So how does he feel now about his franchise quarterback?

Although Lombardi will likely remain diplomatic in his new role, it will be interesting to see what kind of leash Weeden has under new management. Weeden struggled in his rookie year, completing 57 percent of his passes for 3,385 yards, 14 touchdowns and 17 interceptions.
Lombardi had served in executive roles with the San Francisco 49ers, Browns, St. Louis Rams, Philadelphia Eagles and Oakland Raiders, and had been with the NFL Network since 2006.
