The Super Bowl is in less than two weeks, and New Orleans and the NFL are prepared. For all the fans descending on the great city over the next week, the league has set up a bevy of events to enjoy before Sunday rolls around.
Super Bowl 2013 schedule: New Orleans can throw a party
The Super Bowl is right around the corner, meaning a couple weeks of partying in New Orleans for fans.


It all starts on Tuesday, Jan. 29, when media day takes place. The event has gone from a small gathering to a full-blown circus over the last 20 years, making it nothing short of a spectacle.
The next day, fans can enjoy the NFL Experience, held at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, which will take place from Wednesday through the end of the week.
Also Wednesday through Sunday is the Super Bowl XLVII Media Center Bridgestone Fan Gallery.
On Thursday night, there will be a Legends for Charity dinner. The event honors Archie Manning, who will receive the Pat Summerall Award.
Friday kicks off a bunch of festivities, including the Pro Football Hall of Fame Merlin Olsen Luncheon, the 14th annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration, and the VH1 Best Super Bowl Concert Ever.
The day before the game, New Orleans is hosting the Super Saturday of Service, geared towards helping the youth of the city and fostering better leadership.
And oh yeah, there’s also a game on Sunday.
