Super Bowl tickets 2013: Prices fall for the first time

After steadily rising for several days, the average price of a Super Bowl XLVII ticket has dropped to a totally reasonable $3,682.

Tickets to the Super Bowl remain incredibly expensive, but for the first day since they've gone on sale, the average ticket price has dropped. According to TiqIQ, the average price for a Super Bowl XLVII ticket is now $3,682, down $60 from yesterday.

If you can’t afford the average ticket price, don’t worry, the cheapest tickets to the game are available for the low, low price of $1,931! Unfortunately, that number is up $99 from yesterday’s cheapest ticket.

The most expensive single ticket? $5,920, $57 more than it was on Wednesday. Of course, this is far cheaper than the cost of a luxury suite, which as of Tuesday was reported to be going at the rate of $315,000 for a 30-person suite.

The good news here is that despite the price for the most expensive and least expensive ticket still being on the rise, the average price of a ticket has finally taken a dip. So if you are a big fan of the Baltimore Ravens or San Francisco 49ers, take that $3,500 plus you had been saving for a used car or super fancy computer or TV and go buy yourself one ticket for the Super Bowl!
