The Super Bowl ticket market is always a tough one, given the high profile nature of the event. We take a look at the current prices at TiqIQ and some other options.

Super Bowl ticket prices still high

    Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The most expensive ticket, right now is north of $10,000 which is, of course, insane. Those are club seats though, so that’s to be expected. You can still find around 781 tickets to the big game, but the prices aren’t going down at any significant rate. Earlier in the week, they were a bit cheaper than they are currently, even.

    Ticket prices increase

    Christian Petersen

According to TiqIQ, fans can get in the door at the SuperDome for as little as $1,300, though you’d better bring your binoculars if you’re going to purchase those seats. Unfortunately for fans, the $1,300 for an upper tier, nosebleed seat constitutes a slight raise in prices compared to Friday, when tickets could have been had for $1,132.

If you want a better seat, it’ll cost you -- and in this case, it’ll cost you much more. Fans can purchase second-row seats in section 227, which is nearly a corner-endzone section, for $3,816 each. Alternatively, you can purchase a 22nd-row seat in section 115, on the 40-yard line, for $4,056 -- which doesn’t seem like an awful deal, relative to other prices.

Ticket prices falling as Sunday approaches

    Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Tickets can be had for as low as $1,132 for a seat in section 63 -- -upper deck in the corner of the end zone. While that doesn’t qualify as “cheap” for most people, it is a bit lower than the $1,368 for the cheapest ticket quoted Thursday.

Nosebleed corner seats make for a less than ideal viewing experience, unfortunately. For something a bit better, say, club level along the 30-yard line, a ticket will run $3,642. Those looking to splurge for the absolute best seats at the Super Dome can spend as much as $11,495. A seat on the 40-yard line in row 18 in Section 143 costs $5,222. That’s not bad considering where prices were early in the week.

    Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

On Wednesday, the cheapest ticket available was a cool $1,580 dollars -- which isn’t something the average football fan can afford. According to TiqIQ, the cheapest ticket currently available is in section 628, row 21, and it’s available for $1,368.

Cheapest Super Bowl ticket prices going up

    John David Mercer-USA TODAY Sports

The prices are climbing, though. We took a look at the ticket prices on Monday, and the cheapest available was $1,176, for a seat in the nosebleeds in section 645, row 32.

Now, the cheapest ticket is over $1500. At the time of writing specifically, the cheapest ticket is $1,580 for section 628, row 35. That’s an endzone seat ... but one way up in the nosebleeds.

Super Bowl ticket prices are dropping

    Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

In the days following the AFC and NFC Championship games, the average ticket price was just over $3,700. Now, with the game less than a week away, the average price has dropped to $3,277, according to TiqIQ. Fans not wanting to spend over $3,000 can opt for the cheapest available seats in the Mercedez-Benz Superdome, which are currently selling for $1,699. On the other side, fans wanting to enjoy the game from the best possible seats available can do so for $5,863.

There are more tickets available now than there were in the days after the Super Bowl matchup was set, but the quantity continues to drop from recent highs. There were nearly 5,200 tickets available on Monday, but that number is down to 4,793. The number of available tickets, however, is constantly fluctuating, as fans are trying to both sell and buy tickets in the final few days leading up to the big game.

    Super Bowl tickets still available

    USA TODAY Sports

According to Tqiq, the cheapest seat in the house is running for $1,176 dollars, way up in the nosebleeds at Section 645, Row 32. If you want to get closer to the action, however, you will have to pony up--the most expensive seat is on the 50-yard line at Section 141, Row 19, and is currently going for $5,932 dollars.

Tqiq still has 5,188 tickets left, and there’s plenty of time left to score a good deal.

Super Bowl XLVII ticket prices dropping slightly

    USA TODAY Sports

For the second straight day it’s becoming ever so slightly more affordable to join the thousands of roaring fans inside the Superdome in New Orleans, with both the average price and the cheapest get-in-the-door ticket down a bit with a week remaining until the big game.

If you were just interested in saying to your friends that you actually got in the door, however, it wouldn’t run you nearly as much, but the single ticket in Section 645 in Row 32 would still run you $1,776. Who knows how the seller landed on that number, but as the cheapest available ticket on the web according to TiqIQ, that number is down $119 from yesterday’s cheapest entry point to the game.

    Super Bowl ticket prices drop

    USA TODAY Sports

According to TiqIQ, the average price of a ticket to Super Bowl XLVII is $3,499 -- nearly $100 less than the average price on Friday. Similarly, the cheapest available ticket price dropped ever-so-slightly. On Friday, the cheapest ticket available was selling for $1,930. On Saturday, you can get in the Superdome for $1,895 -- if you want to sit in the 35th row of section 601.

The most expensive tickets available on TiqIQ are selling for $5,916. The nearly-$6,000 tickets are located in section 117, and fans willing to spend that much can sit in the 16th, 23rd or 31st row.

Super Bowl ticket prices drop again, but still...

    Kevin C. Cox

According to TiqIQ, the average price for a ticket to the Super Bowl is a cool $3,582, which is $100 less than yesterday. It’s good to see that the it’s heading in that direction, but it’s still unrealistic for many football fans.

What should be considered unacceptable is that the lowest single ticket you can find is $1,930. This means it is impossible to enter the stadium for any less than $2k, and you’re probably going alone unless you can convince your friends or family to dip into their savings as well.

Average price of Super Bowl tickets finally drops

    USA TODAY Sports

If you can’t afford the average ticket price, don’t worry, the cheapest tickets to the game are available for the low, low price of $1,931! Unfortunately, that number is up $99 from yesterday’s cheapest ticket.

The most expensive single ticket? $5,920, $57 more than it was on Wednesday. Of course, this is far cheaper than the cost of a luxury suite, which as of Tuesday was reported to be going at the rate of $315,000 for a 30-person suite.

Price of Super Bowl tickets increasing

    Larry French

The average price for a Super Bowl ticket is up to $3,741 as prices continue to rise. The cheapest ticket in the Superdome on Feb. 3 is available for $1,877, a five percent increase from yesterday.

There are approximately 4,200 tickets on the secondary market for Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. It is expected that ticket prices will drop as the game approaches and sellers look to avoid being stuck with extra tickets. So far, ticket prices have been on the rise this year.
