Super Bowl tickets 2013: Prices fall as weekend approaches
Tickets for Super Bowl XLVII are still available, and though they’ll cost quite a small fortune, prices are dropping as Super Bowl week progresses.

On Wednesday, the cheapest ticket available was a cool $1,580 dollars -- which isn’t something the average football fan can afford. According to TiqIQ, the cheapest ticket currently available is in section 628, row 21, and it’s available for $1,368.
Since most fans don’t want to sit in the last rows of the upper tier, it doesn’t seem like a sound investment. The average price of tickets available for Super Bowl XLVII is a cool $2,941. For around $2,900, fans can sit in one of the lower sections (116, 117, 144), but would be stuck in rows 25-28. For the same price, fans can sit in the second row of section 277 -- a corner end zone seat.
If you have lots of money to spend, you can end up with one of the best seats in the SuperDome. For the modest price of $10,129, fans can sit in section 141, around the 40-yard line, in the fourth row.
While it’s not much of a price drop, it’s better than nothing. At the least, prices are trending the right way for fans as Super Bowl XLVII approaches.
