To some NFL players, a trip to the Pro Bowl is simply a lavish getaway to the beautiful islands of Hawaii, a time to kick back and relax. To others, this is a football game just like any other.
Pro Bowl 2013: Andrew Luck believes players are ‘obligated’ to play hard
The Pro Bowl isn’t exactly a hard-fought battle for most NFL players, but Andrew Luck thinks it should be like any other game. Here’s what the rookie had to say about playing in Hawaii.

Andrew Luck said on Thursday that he believes players are obligated to play hard at the Pro Bowl. He sees the final game of his rookie campaign as one where he will go out and give it his all once again.
“I guess some folks weren’t happy with the play last year, but I think guys will take it upon themselves to keep this game going for many years to come and play hard.”
Hopefully, Luck didn’t watch last year’s embarrassing display. Fans and critics started calling for the removal of the Pro Bowl after the 2012 edition, a game in which both sides simply stood around and made it look like a flag football practice, and even that may be a generous statement.
Roger Goodell even discussed the potential of removing the Pro Bowl from the NFL’s yearly schedule. Now you know it’s a serious matter.
Expect to see Luck giving 100 percent when he steps on the field this weekend. We can’t speak for his teammates, but maybe the young quarterback’s words will inspire a higher level of competition.
