For some, the Super Bowl is more about the advertisements than the game itself. Those ad-watchers who are also movie buffs will be pleased to know that Iron Man 3 is one of six movies that will air trailers during the Super Bowl or pre-game coverage.

Iron Man 3 is one of six movies that have purchased ad time during Super Bowl XLVII as the latest installment in the Robert Downey Jr. franchise will premiere a new 60-second trailer.

The third installment of the Robert Downey Jr. superhero franchise will premiere a new 60-second trailer during the game. The scheduled release date for Iron Man 3 is May 3. Disney purchased the most ad time of any movie studio, in addition to Iron Man 3, a 90-second trailer for The Lone Ranger will air during the pre-game and an ad for Oz: The Great and Powerful will run during the game.
Paramount will run a 30-second spot for World War Z in the pre-game and a 30-second trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness during the game. The other movie trailer that will air during the Super Bowl is for Fast 6, the latest in The Fast and the Furious franchise from Universal.
The price of a 30-second ad during Super Bowl XLVII on CBS was set at $4 million.
