Super Bowl prop bets: Who will the MVP thank first?

Super Bowl prop bets are weird, but they sure can be fun.

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens are all set to do battle but, to many, the game doesn't really matter. This matchup is about prop bets, and lots of them.

Among the most intriguing strange things folks can bet on in order to separate themselves from their hard-earned money is who the Super Bowl XLVII MVP will thank first. According to Odds Shark, here are the possibilities:

Teammates 5/4
God 5/2
Coach 12/1
Family 12/1
Owner 15/1
Does Not Thank Anyone 9/4

It’s fun to think about just what the oddsmakers were taking into consideration when setting these lines. With the 49ers favored by four points, the MVP will likely come from that side.

So who is expected to shine, based on recent history? Smart money would say that Michael Crabtree and Colin Kaepernick are the frontrunners. Being a quarterbacks league, the edge likely goes to Kaepernick.

So now, the question remains, who would Kaepernick thank? Knowing how close he is to his family, it would more than likely be them.

Prediction:

Smart money says to take Kaepernick thanking his family. You heard it here first.
