Barack Obama has been interviewed every Super Bowl Sunday since he became President of the United States and this year will be no different. Scott Pelley, the anchor of the CBS Evening News, will interview Obama at 4:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 3. on CBS, according to Richard Deitsch.

President Barack Obama will give his fifth straight Super Bowl Sunday interview to CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley.

Pelley plans to use the majority of the 10- to-15-minute interview to address a number of current issues facing the President and the nation, but will work in at least one question about football. “We will be talking to the President about whatever the current issues of the moment are on that day,” Pelley said. He believes that despite the major focus of the day being the Super Bowl, everyone is interested in hearing the President speak about current events.
Last year President Obama was interviewed by Today show host Matt Lauer on NBC, and in 2011 he was interviewed by Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly. Both interviews drew in near 17 million viewers.
