2013 Super Bowl: Joe Flacco will stay with team, says Ravens owner

Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti believes that Joe Flacco will return to the Baltimore Ravens next season.

On Sunday Joe Flacco will be a starting quarterback in Super Bowl XLVII, afterwards he will be a free agent for the first time in his NFL career. The Baltimore Ravens certainly want to bring Flacco back and owner Steve Bisciotti is confident they will make it happen.

Bisciotti expressed his faith in general manager Ozzie Newsome, saying Newsome has always been able to sign Baltimore's top free agents in the past. "They asked me about this with Ray Rice. They asked me about this with Haloti Ngata and on down the line and we've always signed them," Bisciotti said, "so Joe's going to be here. Trust in Ozzie."

Flacco has played some of his best football in Baltimore’s playoff games this season, posting a rating of 114.7 over the past three games. If he can bring back a Lombardi Trophy this year it will certainly raise his asking price, but it looks like it is a price Bisciotti will be happily willing to pay. Even if it requires using the franchise tag in 2013 before reaching a long-term deal, the Ravens are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep Flacco in Baltimore.

Flacco is reportedly seeking a contract worth $20 million annually.
