Broncos vs. Ravens, NFL playoffs 2013: Denver favored by 9

The Denver Broncos will be favorites by nearly two scores over the Ravens in the AFC Divisional playoff game on Saturday.

The Denver Broncos host the Baltimore Ravens on Saturday as 9-point favorites in the AFC Divisional playoff game.

The Ravens dispatched the Indianapolis Colts in relative easy fashion in the Wild Card game, beating quarterback Andrew Luck in his first NFL playoff game, 24-9. The Colts were able to hold the ball for 37 minutes and generate 419 yards of offense against the Ravens, yet were 0-for-2 on fourth down and generated two turnovers in the loss.

The Broncos earned the top seed in the AFC after winning eleven straight games to finish the season. Quarterback Peyton Manning threw for 4,659 yards and 37 touchdowns while leading the No. 2 scoring offense in the NFL. Combined with one of the top defenses in the league, the Broncos quickly became a Super Bowl favorite as the season progressed.

According to OddsShark.com, the Broncos open the week as 9-point favorites over the Ravens. Both teams boast strong defenses yet Baltimore averages just 24.9 points per game while Denver put up more than 30 points per game in 2012. The over/under is also set at 45 points, in what could be a relatively low scoring game at Mile High.

The Ravens lost to the Broncos in their last matchup 34-17 on Dec. 16. Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET with coverage on CBS.
