Seahawks vs. Redskins NFL injury report: RGIII, Clemons leave contest with knee injuries

Robert Griffin III and Chris Clemons headlined a number of injuries suffered by the Washington Redskins and Seattle Seahawks on Sunday night.

While only one team will be in action next week, both the Seattle Seahawks and Washington Redskins suffered serious injuries to key players in the Seahawks' win on Sunday night.

The Redskins' Robert Griffin III and Seattle's Chris Clemons left the game with knee injuries that kept them out the remainder of the contest. Griffin, who already hurt the same knee in the regular season and then tweaked it earlier in the game against Seattle, buckled as he attempted to recover a loose ball on a bad snap.

Seattle, meanwhile, believes that Clemons tore his ACL and his status for the meeting with the Atlanta Falcons next week is in jeopardy. Both Griffin and Clemons will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of their injuries.

Kicker Steven Hauschka of the Seahawks suffered a calf injury in the second quarter, but was able to return and kick field goals and extra points after visiting the locker room. Hauschka, however, was limping and could force Seattle to make a change to their special-teams unit before next week’s game.

On the Redskins offensive line, guard Kory Lichtensteiger re-injured his left ankle in the first quarter. He started Sunday after missing practice all week, dealing with his sprained ankle.
