Vikings vs. Packers NFL injury report: Jordy Nelson OK despite limping off

Both the Packers and Vikings appear to have escaped Satruday’s wild card contest without any major injuries.

The Green Bay Packers have had their fair share of injuries this season, but appear to have made it through the wild card round without any serious injuries.

Wide receiver Jordy Nelson played limited snaps against Minnesota and limped off the field during the fourth quarter, but said he felt "great" after the game. Tight end Jermichael Finley left Saturday's game with a hamstring injury, but he also appears to be fine for this weekend's game against San Francisco. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said the medical staff was still going through the process of evaluating players, but none of the injuries were serious.

The Vikings were also able to make it through the game without a serious injury although Minnesota has two notable injuries to monitor. Quarterback Christian Ponder missed Saturday's game with a triceps injury. Ponder could barely raise a football to his chest, but doesn't expect to have surgery. He said time and rest should allow it to heal on its own.

While Ponder should be able to avoid surgery, defensive end Jared Allen will not. Allen will have surgery to repair a torn labrum, an injury he said he played the entire season with. Allen said the injury limited him at times during the season. It will, however, not keep him out of the Pro Bowl as he said he is planning to postpone surgery until after the game.
