The Arizona Cardinals will interview Cincinnati offensive coordinator Jay Gruden on Thursday as they continue to search for a head coach, according to a report from Kent Somers of AZCentral.com.

Gruden was eligible to be hired immediately after he and the Bengals were eliminated from the playoffs on Saturday. He's spent two seasons with the Bengals and has head coaching experience from his time in the Arena Football League and United Football League. In addition to his stint with the Bengals, Gruden also served as an assistant coach in Tampa Bay under his older brother, Jon, from 2002 to 2008.

As Bengals offensive coordinator, Gruden has been praised for his work with quarterback Andy Dalton. The Bengals have made the playoffs in both of Gruden's seasons. He will become the third candidate to interview with Cardinals president Michael Bidwill, joining current defensive coordinator Ray Horton and Denver offensive coordinator Mike McCoy.

Arizona asked and received permission to interview Pittsburgh offensive coordinator Todd Haley, which could happen later this week.
