The TV and movie star returns to host the 2nd Annual NFL Honors, which will name the winners of the major NFL awards, on the night before the Super Bowl.

US PRESSWIRE

Alec Baldwin will return as the host of the “2nd Annual NFL Honors,“ an awards show that takes place the night before Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans. The event will honor the best players and performances from the 2012 NFL season in a two-hour primetime special to air on Saturday, Feb. 2 on CBS from 9-11 p.m. ET.

The NFL Honors will feature the announcement of several major awards from the NFL and associated press. Awards to be announced include the AP Most Valuable Player, AP Coach of the Year, Pepsi Max Rookie of the Year, and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award among others.

Hall of Famers Jim Brown, Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders, and Steve Young will all make appearances at the show.

The NFL Honors awards show debuted last year in Indianapolis, and now is an annual event scheduled to take place in the Super Bowl city each year. All the award winners and many other NFL stars are expected to be in attendance at the event.
