The Miami Dolphins will reveal their new logo before the 2013 NFL Draft on April 25-27, owner Stephen Ross announced Monday. The redesign has been rumored for some time now. A logo with a somewhat commercial jet-looking Dolphin has been making its rounds across the internet recently, though Ross couldn't confirm whether the leaked image is accurate or not.

The Miami Dolphins will unveil their new logo before April’s NFL Draft, owner Stephen Ross announced Monday. The redesign coincides with Nike’s tweaks to uniforms across the NFL.

“There’s been a lot leaked, so I don’t know what you saw,” Ross said during his news conference Monday. He added that it is time for the Dolphins to undergo an update. “We’re looking at it, finalizing it, but I’m excited.”
The Dolphins updated logo corresponds with Nike's takeover of the NFL team apparel. The sportswear giant tweaked (and in the Seattle Seahawks' case, completely overhauled) uniform designs across the league in 2012, including the Dolphins'. Even more significant changes are expected for the 2013 season.
Hopefully for Dolphins fans, the new logo will usher in a few more wins coming off a 7-9 playoff-less 2012 season.
