At 5-0 and with the best offense in the NFL, the Denver Broncos would likely be favored regardless of their opponent. Playing at home against the 0-5 Jacksonville Jaguars resulted in Denver being the biggest favorite in NFL history.
Jaguars vs. Broncos 2013 odds: Denver a massive favorite
With the Broncos surging and the Jaguars struggling, Denver is a four-touchdown favorite against Jacksonville.

The Broncos opened as a 27-point favorite according to Odds Shark which the Associated Press reported is the biggest spread in NFL history. Some oddsmakers had Denver as a 28-point favorite to open. The Broncos allowed 48 points last week, but the offense more than masks the defensive issues. Denver is averaging 46 points per game this season, nearly 36 more than the 10.2 points per game the Jaguars have produced.
This isn’t the first time the Broncos have been a heavy favorite this season. Denver was favored by at least 10 points twice already this season. The Jaguars were an underdog in all five games, including 19-point underdogs against Seattle. The Jaguars have yet to cover a spread while Denver is 3-2 against the spread this season.
With the Broncos expected to light up the scoreboard, the total was set at 52 points. The total went over in all five games Denver played this season and two of Jacksonville’s three road games.
