NFL picks and predictions 2013, Week 6: Panthers vs. Vikings
NFL experts are picking the winner of the Week 6 matchup between Carolina and Minnesota.
The Vikings and Panthers both enter Week 6 at 1-3 and are looking to save their respective seasons from disaster. The Panthers are coming off an embarrassing loss to the Cardinals, while the Vikings have been able to rest on a bye after their win in London against the Steelers. The Vikings are viewed as the 2.5-point favorite at home against the visiting Panthers, despite their similar records.
The CBS Sports panel of eight leans in favor of the Vikings with the spread taken into consideration with a vote of 7-1. The vote is identical when considering the matchup in as a straight up contest. CBS Sports’ Will Brinson is the lone fan of the Panthers in the Week 6’s game. The Yahoo! Sports panel of two also favored Minnesota at home with a 2-0 vote for the Vikings.
The SB Nation panel of five is a bit more split on the matchup. The group favored the Vikings to beat the Panthers, but it was a tight 3-2 vote.
The Vikings will host the Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
