Giants vs. Bears 2013 final score: Brandon Marshall scores twice in Chicago win, 27-21

The Chicago Bears leaned on Jay Cutler and Brandon Marshall to fuel a 27-21 win over the New York Giants on Thursday Night Football.

Eli Manning threw three interceptions to raise his league-leading total to 15 on the season. This included an interception returned for a touchdown in the first quarter that helped decide the game.

Cutler had one of his best games of the season as the Bears’ quarterback finished with 262 passing yards and two touchdowns without a turnover. The Giants’ secondary was unable to stop Marshall, who used his size on the edge to overwhelm New York’s defensive backs and score two touchdowns.

The game became an offensive shootout as neither team's pass rush was effective. Chicago was able to transcend the absence of cornerback Charles Tillman to take lone possession atop the NFC North as Tim Jennings intercepted two passes, including a tipped ball in the fourth quarter to seal the Bears' victory.

The Giants fall to 0-6 for the first time since 1976, but there were some bright spots outside of Manning's three interceptions. Brandon Jacobs looks to have returned to his form from five years ago, as the running back's multi-year absence was erased with a 106-yard game.

Jacobs’ running ability allowed the passing game to open up. Manning became more accurate as the team leveraged the play action pass to settle the embattled quarterback, who finished with 239 yards passing and a touchdown.

Injury report

Giants running back Da'Rel Scott left the game in the fourth quarter with a leg injury. There is no further update on his status at this time.

Brandon Marshall was an excellent fantasy performer with 87 yards and two touchdowns

Owners will scramble to pick up Brandon Jacobs this week after his 106-yard, two-touchdown performance. Now it becomes a question of whether he can keep it up.
